SPRING FINE ARTS NIGHT – OPEN MINDS THROUGH OPEN HEARTS
Full Description:
Thursday, May 10, 2007 - Please note the time change: we are starting both the art show and program earlier in the hope that parents in our primary
grades will stay for the WHOLE evening. The whole school deserves the appreciation of the total audience without
having to see empty seats because some grades are done earlier...So let's propose an essential agreement that goes like
this: We all stay until the end so that every student is cared about by our entire parent community and each
student can participate in the grand finale!!! Times are:
5:30 to 6:25 p.m. In the IDS Theatre/Training Center, a School-wide Art Show featuring every IDS student with
over 500 pieces of extraordinary, original art directed by Art Teachers: Debbie Kerr, Amber Johnston, and Renee
Holden. An additional viewing will be available after the show until 9:00 p.m.
6:30 to 8:00 P.M. School-wide Performance in Corbett Hall directed by Michael LeBlanc, Barbara McBride,
Tom McColley, Seth Travaglino, and Lisa Kelly.
WHO PARTICIPATES: Every child participates; so all parents please come and enjoy the final 2006 - 2007
event for the whole IDS family. The arts give us the perfect chance to celebrate the joy of a great year
TOGETHER!!!
PARKING OPTIONS: There will be deputies on duty as well as our staff to assist us in parking. We have listed
our parking options here:
1.) IDS main school parking lot on the East Side,
2.) IDS Middle School on the West Side,
3.) Our grass parking lot on the East Side, and
4.) Carrollwood Elementary with the complimentary IDS bus shuttle.
